Leeds United 2010-11 Match Worn Shirt

(Kasper Schmeichel! v QPR. His last match for LUFC!)

Season: The 2010–11 season saw Leeds return to the second tier of English football for the first time in four years with them finishing in a respectable 7th position in The Championship, just missing out on the play-offs. In other competitions, the club performed poorly in the League Cup, going out in their first match, however made it to the third round of the FA Cup forcing Premier League giants Arsenal to a replay in the process. An entertaining season that saw four players, Becchio (20), Gradel (18), Somma (12) and Howson (11), make it in to double figures in the scoring charts. Off the field, Chairman Ken Bates consolidated his ownership of the club by purchasing a majority shareholding in the club.

Player: Kasper Schmeichel. Schmeichel, son of Peter, created much excitement around Elland Road when he signed a two-year contract with Leeds following promotion to the Championship. Schmeichel had many impressive games including the 1-1 draw against Arsenal in the FA Cup at the Emirates stadium. On 20 June 2011 Leeds announced they had accepted an undisclosed bid for him from Leicester City. With Schmeichel wanting to stay at Leeds for the remainder of his contract he admitted that the decision to sell him was a real shock. Kasper made a total of 37 appearances for the club.

Other Details: Embroidered club badge, embroidered manufacturers logo, plastic transfer sponsor, player-size numbers/letters, player-size felt Npower Championship badges on sleeve, secondary sponsor on back, custom made in short sleeves for Kasper, green design (never available in replica). This shirt was worn by Kasper on the last day of the season v QPR. This was his final appearance for the club. What is special about this shirt is that the green goalkeeper shirt was never available as a replica. In addition the shirt is also made in short sleeves specially for Kasper (who was known for chopping the sleeves off himself). The shirt has been cut at the bottom by Kasper too.

Leeds United 2010-11 Match Worn Shirt - Richard Naylor. (Unwashed, filthy shirt from his last game at Elland Road v Burnley)

Player: Richard Naylor. Signed in January 2009, Naylor joined his boyhood team Leeds from Ipswich. Bam-Bam was a massive Leeds fan and revealed that he had the white rose tattooed on his arm and sings 'Marching On Together' in the shower after training. Naylor helped rejuvenate Leeds' form after signing for his boyhood club, who had previously conceded several goals from set pieces. Leeds' defence considerably improved and the performances of Naylor and Sodje helped Leeds reach the playoff semi-finals, but they eventually lost out to Millwall. Naylor was given the captaincy the following season and his partnership with Kisnorbo was influential in guiding the club to promotion. The following season was to be Naylor's last at the club as he only made 14 appearances after suffering from injuries. Naylor made 68 appearances for Leeds and scored 4 goals.

Other Details: Embroidered club badge, embroidered manufacturers logo, plastic transfer sponsor, player-size numbers/letters, player-size felt Npower Championship badges on sleeve, secondary sponsor on back. The shirt is unwashed and has clear mud stains on the shirt. The shirt was worn in the 1-0 victory over Burney, this was Naylor's last game at Elland Road.

Leeds United 2010-11 Match Worn Shirt - Robert Snodgrass!

(Unique Marie Curie shirt worn v Ipswich. Comes with letter from charity)

Player: Robert Snodgrass. Robert arrived at Elland Road in 2008 and was a tricky winger that could run comfortable with the ball whilst delivering accurate passes. A fans favourite for his hardworking displays and never-say-die attitude. Snodgrass made 57 appearances (11 goals) in the 2009/10 season. He later went onto captain the side in the 2011/12 but after a lack of investment in the team he demanded a move and as a consequence was another Leeds player that made a move to Norwich. In total Snodgrass made 168 appearances for the club and scored 35 times. Snodgrass was voted Leeds' Player of the Season in 2012.

Other Details: Embroidered club badge, embroidered manufacturers logo, plastic transfer sponsor, player-size numbers/letters, player-size felt Npower Championship badges on sleeve, secondary sponsor on back. The shirt was worn against Ipswich at Elland Road. A very special shirt as it features the 'Marie Curie' emblem on the chest which were worn by the players in this game only. The shirt was auctioned to raise finances for the charity and has a letter of authenticity with it.

Leeds United 2010-11 Match Worn Shirt - Davide Somma!

(Unique Marie Curie shirt worn v Ipswich. Comes with letter from charity)

Player: Davide Somma. Davide was signed in 2009 after a successful trial and sent out on-loan for almost all the 2009-10 season. Somma returned to Leeds United after his spell at Lincoln ended, Simon Grayson claiming Somma was part of his plans and will not be going out on loan for the 2010–11 season. Somma hit the ground running after scoring twice on his league debut after coming on as a 75th-minute substitute. A fans favourite for his excellent first touch and deadly eye for goal Somma went onto score 12 league goals in the 2010-11 season. Unfortunately Somma tore his anterior cruciate ligaments during pre-season training and missed the entire 2011-12 season. Somma did return for the 2012-13 season but only made 6 appearances scoring 1 goal.

Leeds United 2010-11 Match Worn Shirt - Bradley Johnson

(Poppy shirt from the game v Bristol City. Squad signed and comes with letter from charity. Great shirt, great cause!)

Player: Bradley Johnson. Johnson was signed midway through the 2007-08 season from Northampton and played for Leeds in the League 1 playoff final against Doncaster Rovers at Wembley, but was on the losing side as Leeds lost 1–0. After struggling to get a first team place under manager Gary McAllister due to the emergence of Fabian Delph, Johnson joined League One rivals Brighton & Hove Albion on loan. After a successful loan then he returned to his parent club Leeds United, now with a new manager, Simon Grayson. Johnson found himself back in the first team picture as his performances drastically improved and during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 season he was regarded as an important first team regular. After publicised war of words between Johnson and Chairman Ken Bates about contract negotiations Johnson signed for Premiership Norwich on a free transfer. He made 199 appearances for the club and scored 16 times, one being his strike against Arsenal which won Leeds' 2011 Goal of the Season award.

Other Details: Embroidered club badge, embroidered manufacturers logo, poppy emblem on chest, unique game detailed embroidered under club crest, plastic transfer sponsor, player-size numbers/letters, player-size felt Npower Championship badges on sleeve, secondary sponsor on back. A fantastic shirt that was worn in the 3-1 victory against Bristol City at Elland Road. The shirt was worn in one game only for remembrance day and therefore has a poppy patch and game details embroidered into the shirt. The shirt is squad signed and was auctioned by the club to raise funds for military charities. The shirt comes with a letter of authenticity from the club.

Leeds United 2010-11 Match Worn Shirt - Neil Kilkenny

(Poppy shirt from the game v Bristol City. Squad signed and comes with letter from charity. Great shirt, great cause!)

Off the field, Chairman Ken Bates consolidated his ownership of the club by purchasing a majority shareholding in the club.

Player: Neil Kilkenny. Kilkenny was signed midway through the 2007-08 season and put in many impressive performances to help Leeds reach the League 1 playoff final against Doncaster Rovers at Wembley, but was on the losing side as Leeds lost 1–0. Kilkenny played as a holding midfielder and made many crucial tackles and interceptions to break down attacks. He was a key member of the first team during the 2009-10 promotion season and Leeds' first season back in the Championship (2010-11). Similar to other players (such as Jonson) the club failed to agree a contract extension and therefore Kilkenny was allowed to leave Leeds after making 122 appearances and scoring 8 goals.

Leeds United 2011-12 Match Worn shirt - Adam Clayton

(v Bristol City. Unwashed)

Season: The 2011–12 season was Leeds' second season back in the second tier of English football which initially saw the club challenging for the play-offs positions but dismal form in spring resulted in a 14th position finish. A turbulent February saw Reserve Team Manager Neil Redfearn in charge of the team for four games with Manager Simon Grayson relieved of his duties and replaced by veteran promotion specialist Neil Warnock.

Player: Adam Clayton. Adam arrived from Manchester City in 2010 and spent much of his first season at Elland Road out on-loan in order to gain experience. With first choice midfielders Neil Kilkenny and Bradley Johnson having both left Leeds United in the 2011–12 pre-season, Clayton proclaimed that he was wanting to stake a claim to play in the first team alongside Jonny Howson for the upcoming season. After an impressive first season in the team, Leeds entered negotiations with Clayton about extending his current deal. After the club failed to meet the wage demands of the player during contract negotiations Clayton was transfer listed by Neil Warnock at the end of the 2011–12 season. Clayton later linked up with ex-manager Simon Grayson at Huddersfield after making 48 appearances for the club.

Other Details: Embroidered club badge, embroidered manufacturers logo, plastic transfer sponsor, player-size numbers/letters, player-size felt Npower Championship badges on sleeve, secondary sponsor on back. The shirt was worn in the 2-1 victory over Bristol City at Elland Road in which Clayton scored. The shirt is unwashed and filthy and comes from a direct contact at Elland Road.

Leeds United 2011-12 Match Worn ''POPPY'' shirt - Howson

(Signed by the club captain also. Great shirt sold by the club for a great cause and has LUFC letter with it)

Player: Jonny Howson. A graduate of Leeds' youth system, Howson was born in Morley and started his professional career at Leeds. He was the longest serving player at the club, having served under four different managers and making 225 appearances since he made his debut in the League Cup in September 2006. In April 2008, United manager Gary McAllister awarded the captaincy to a nineteen-year-old Howson, making him the youngest player to captain the club since Billy Bremner led the side from the mid 1960s. Since 2010, he had regularly captained the side in the absence of Richard Naylor and in July 2011, Howson was made the permanent captain. Howson particular highlights were the 2 goals scored in the League 1 Play-Off Semi-Final against Carlisle which sent Leeds to Wembley. Howson also scored a crucial goal in the 2-1 victory against Bristol Rovers on the final day of the season which secured promotion to the Championship. In January 2012, Howson joined Premier League side Norwich City in a deal costing around £2 million.

Other Details: Embroidered club badge, embroidered manufacturers logo, plastic transfer sponsor, player-size numbers/letters, player-size felt Npower Championship badges on sleeve, secondary sponsor on back. A fantastic shirt that was worn in both the 1-0 victory against Leicester and 2-1 victory against Burnley (Howson played in both). The shirt was worn in these two games only for remembrance day and therefore has a poppy patch on the shirt. A turbulent February saw Reserve Team Manager Neil Redfearn in charge of the team for four games with Manager Simon Grayson relieved of his duties and replaced by veteran promotion specialist Neil Warnock.

Player: Luciano Becchio. The Argentine marksman scored 86 goals in 221 appearances and established himself in the all-time top 10 leading league goal scorers for the club. A popular figure with fans, Luciano, was known for his whole-hearted performances and had a eye for goal. Becchio and fellow striker Beckford linked up fantastically contributing 17 goals in the 2009-10 season and becoming the clubs second highest goal scorer. In January 2013 Becchio was another Leeds player to transfer to Premiership club Norwich, a deal that saw Steve Morison arrive at Leeds.

Other Details: Embroidered club badge, embroidered manufacturers logo, plastic transfer sponsor, player-size numbers/letters, player-size felt Npower Championship badges on sleeve, secondary sponsor on back.  Leeds United 2012-13 Match Worn Shirt - Paddy Kenny

(Rare yellow 'unreleased' shirt)

Season: The 2012–13 season was Leeds' third season back in the second tier of English football which saw a minor flirtation with play-offs and later with relegation, but ended with a mid-table finish. In other competitions, the squad recorded their best finish in the League Cup for 18 years, reaching the quarter-finals only to be knocked out by rivals Chelsea. The manager's office was vacated on 1 April by Neil Warnock after his promise of promotion appeared dead in the water. The club officials relieved him of his duties and after a brief period with caretaker manager Neil Redfearn in charge, appointed Brian McDermott as the club's eight manager in ten years.

Player: Paddy Kenny. Kenny signed for Leeds United on a three-year contract in July 2012, linking up with manager Neil Warnock for a fourth time in his career. Having been allocated the number one shirt for the 2012–13 season, Kenny was United's only ever present in the Championship, playing every minute of each 46 league games. Kenny started the 2013-14 season but on 22 February 2014, Kenny missed his first league game since signing for Leeds and never featured again in the first team. Kenny wasn't assigned a Leeds squad number for the 2014–15 season and left Leeds by mutual consent.

Other Details: Embroidered club badge, embroidered manufacturers logo, plastic transfer sponsor, player-size numbers/letters, player-size felt Npower Championship badges on sleeve, secondary sponsor on back. Yellow design (never available in replica). The shirt is still unwashed and absolutely filthy.

Leeds United 2012-13 Match Worn Shirt - El-Hadji Diouf

(unwashed FILTHY shirt! v Chelsea in League Cup quarter final!)

Player: El Hadji Diouf. Diouf joined Leeds on trial and was confirmed as signing a non-contract deal with Leeds United prior to the 2012-13 season. Although a controversial figure, Diouf brought a wealth of experience and after impressing in his early games for Leeds, Neil Warnock described Diouf as his 'matador'. Diouf played 45 times that season and scored 7 goals - making him the clubs third highest scorer. Diouf was released at the end of the 2013-14 season after featuring very little.

Other Details: Embroidered club badge, embroidered manufacturers logo, plastic transfer sponsor, player-size numbers/letters, player-size felt Npower Championship badges on sleeve, secondary sponsor on back. The shirt was worn in the League Cup quarter final against Chelsea at Elland Road. The shirt is still unwashed and absolutely filthy as the game was played in torrential conditions.

Leeds United 2012-13 Match Worn ''PROSTATE'' Shirt

(Morison - shirt from the game against his old club Millwall at Elland Road. The players wore these one-off shirt to raise awareness of the charity)

Player: Steve Morison. On the last day of the 2013 January transfer window, Morison signed for Leeds as part of a swap deal which involved Luciano Becchio. Morison arrival was met with high expectations from the Elland Road faithful as Neil Warnock claimed that he would become a 'future legend'. Morison failed to impress and scored a total of 5 goals in 41 appearances for the club. However Leeds were grateful for his contributions towards the end of the 2014-15 season as he put in many hardworking displays that eased Leeds' relegation fears and earned him his nickname of 'The Shift'.

Other Details: Embroidered club badge, embroidered manufacturers logo, plastic transfer sponsor, player-size numbers/letters, player-size felt Npower Championship badges on sleeve, secondary sponsor on back. The shirt was worn against Millwall at Elland Road. A very special shirt as it features the 'Prostate Cancer UK' emblem on the chest which were worn by the players in this game only. Bizarrely the shirts were never auctioned for charity and

Leeds Utd 2012-13 Match Worn ''POPPY'' Shirt - Kisnorbo

(v Watford. The shirt is signed and purchased from The Yorkshire Regiment. Has letter also)

Player: Patrick Kisnorbo. Kisnorbo arrived at Elland Road to strengthen the Leeds defence that has failed back-to-back League 1 Play-Off campaigns. The signing of Kisnorbo proved to be an excellent one as Leeds' defence improved considerably and his partnership with Naylor was influential in guiding the club to promotion. Unfortunately Kisnorbo suffered from injuries and failed to become a first team regular. With Kisnorbo missing several pre-season games he wasn't allocated a number for the 2012–13 season, losing his number 3 squad number to Adam Drury. When Kisnorbo returned to the Leeds squad he was allocated the squad number 6. Kisnorbo, along with 10 others, was released at the end of the 2013-14 season after making over 50 appearances for the club. Kisnorbo won Leeds Player of the Season in 2010.
